Ricardo Santos Oliveira graduated with a Master’s in Physical Education from the Universidade Estadual de Londrina (Brazil). He earned a PhD in Sport and Health Sciences from the University of Exeter (United Kingdom) where he worked at the Children’s Health and Exercise Research Centre (CHERC). He completed a postdoctral fellowship in epidemiology at the Universidade Federal de Pelotas (Brazil).

Ricardo Santos Oliveira is a Senior Lecturer at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (Brazil). He’s the Leader of the Movement and vascular Health Research Group (MoVa). His research aims to uncover how human movement, including physical (in)activity and exercise, impacts arterial health and function, with a focus on children and adolescents. Currently, he is an Honorary Researcher at the University of Exeter. One of the best things out there is being active. Santos Oliveira enjoys being active through basketball, running, and occasional swimming.
